Why a professional team is necessary

Federal agencies, congressional offices and committees, and major corporations are invited to review this explainer site and work with HSe4Metrics to arrange a presentation by an independent professional team.

Who would pay for a presentation

HSe4Metrics itself is not a professional presenter. However, at no cost for its own time, HSe4Metrics would train the presentation team—perhaps composed of professional presenters, lobbyists, or representatives of a specialized law firm.

The team would charge for the professional time required to study the explainer site, receive training, and prepare its presentation. Once trained, the team would also bill for the time required to make presentations to governmental entities and prospective corporate sponsors.

Federal entities likely already recognize the connection between nationwide K–12 student performance and the nation’s workforce, economic, defense, and other hard-number metrics. What they may not have identified is an innovation capable of materially improving those outcomes.

Likewise, major corporations recognize the connection between K–12 student performance and the nation’s long-term success. By sponsoring the HSe4Metrics platform, the selected corporation could become part of the daily lives of students and families nationwide—potentially generating extraordinary public recognition and producing measurable benefits for the sponsor itself.

Possible presentation cost accommodations

The organization requesting a presentation would be charged only the amount billed by the team, with no additional fee charged by HSe4Metrics.

Cost of a requested presentation—and possible accommodations

• Possible reimbursement of presentation costs. If a prospective sponsor contracts for a presentation and subsequently applies to become the sponsor but is not selected, its presentation costs might be reimbursed, in part or in full, by the applicant ultimately selected—a provision that HSe4Metrics would seek to include in the sponsorship agreement.
  
  
• Possible federal funding. A federal agency or Congress could eliminate or reduce presentation costs by funding the team’s training and all or part of each presentation, subject to applicable legal, appropriations, and procurement requirements. The federal government might wish to remove cost-related hesitation by corporations considering a presentation—perhaps by paying for the team’s training before presentations begin. Even if the savings would be of little financial consequence to a major corporation, eliminating or reducing the fee could remove a psychological or procedural barrier to arranging a presentation.
  
  
• Possible limited fundraising campaign. Alternatively, if the federal government does not help cover the team’s training or presentation costs—and if otherwise promising corporations hesitate to arrange a presentation because of the fee—HSe4Metrics could launch the limited fundraising campaign discussed on this website for the sole purpose of retaining a professional presentation team.
