Have an idea for a possible sponsor? Reach out to Vernon Baker to discuss it—or better yet, simply “Go for it!” Call the potential sponsor or someone who might have access to them. Ask them to review the HSe4Metrics.com website.

Talk to politicians. Share with us how they respond when you reach out—whether they take real action or merely non-action "disguised" as action. The same applies to state and federal agencies and their leaders. But above all: follow up day after day. Ask others to join you. Make nationwide K–12 student performance your cause.

Realistically, here is what you will discover: most people—whether politicians, leaders in education, or top corporations—will, inexplicably, not be motivated to save tens of millions of young people from the disaster of crippling K–12 student performance. (After all, their own children are not in that cohort.) Perhaps that is exactly why K–12 is in such terrible shape. So be tenacious. If someone says they want K–12 to succeed and promises to review the HSe4Metrics website, follow up in a day or so to confirm they at least looked at the homepage. Keep at it—call back, and then call again. And if you call back and are told that the person you are asking to speak with is “in a meeting,” remember: K–12 students are just as important. Keep calling, and invite others to join you.
